TRUEDNE
My name is Martin Schuttert. Active as mountainbiker since early nineties and mechanical engineer by heart and education. After ten years as a Mechanical Engineer at Neopost I decided to move to the bike business in 2007 and switched job to Koga which was sponsor of our mountainbiketeam at that moment. At Koga I started as Product Manager and one year later I became responsible for the whole R&D department. In 2015 I founded TrueDNE which is active in Development & Engineering with focus on the Bike business.

Koga BV: R&D and Product Manager
As R&D manager I worked with a small team of specialists in Industrial Design, Engineering, FEM, Testing, Quality and Styling. We gradually started to turn Koga into a more distinguishable and unique brand. Unique in the way we design and engineer the separate components for our bikes which together form a perfect, complete, lightweight and clean looking bike. With more than 20 award winning bikes and parts in the last 8 years this approach proved to be very successful. Together with sales our department was responsible for Koga’s long and short terms vision and roadmap.
Neopost: Mechanical Engineer R&D department
Neopost develops but also produces their parts and mounts and packs their machines in house. This means you are very close to the product you develop as an engineer. Direct discussion between production, assembly and service departments guarantee a functional and feasible product for the right price with a lot of attention for ergonomics and design. In several projects I was responsible to choose the right production technics to make the ideas of our Product Designer feasible. Challenge was to find the right technics and to keep cost within the budget. With one of our products, SI-68, we won an IF Design Award.
